What we offer

A meet and greet event

Meet and Greet

This is our initial appointment which offers a chance for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know the ins and outs of your individual family situation. Here we can assess your existing pet dog suitability for service work, or, help you to pick a breed that will be best suited to your needs. We then work with you to design a tailored training plan to help you achieve your goals. This service takes place at your home and will allow the opportunity to have your questions answered.

Face-to-Face Training Support

At our Assistive K9s, we understand the importance of Face-to-Face Training Support. We offer a tailored training plan and work alongside you to complete it. Our plan is carried out in a variety of settings, including your home and public spaces. We work to the pace of both handler and dog, and we understand it’s an ever-changing plan to suit each client along their journey. Our training is aimed to support you to work towards your goals such as increased communication and fine motor skills, building confidence to access public settings and so much more, aiming towards a more independent lifestyle.

Trainer Only

We understand that training an assistance dog can be a daunting task, especially for busy families or those who are physically or mentally unable to train their dog themselves. Our Trainer Only Support service will take the pressure off of you and provide a comprehensive training program for your dog. Our experienced trainer will pick up and train your dog without the client needing to be present, teaching your dog the foundational skills before working with the handler to implement these in their lives. This can be helpful when working through reactivity or confidence issues, as well as exposing a young pup to a range of experiences.

This service can not be NDIS funded.
